CLUBS
HOSA
All HOSA students attending Fall Leadership should meet at school at
7:00 am in 520 E. Wear HOSA Polo, jeans, closed toe shoes, and bring
money for breakfast.
There will be a HOSA meeting on October 12th Thursday after school and
on October 13th Friday morning at 7:15am in 520E. Please make plans
to attend. We will discuss several items including district
competition and vision screening.
JR. CIVITAN
The next Junior Civitan meeting will be tomorrow, Thursday, October
12th at 7:50am in 604G. There are a large number of volunteer
opportunities to discuss, all members please plan to attend! (10-11)
FCA
All students are invited to "Fields of Faith" hosted by the Fellowship
of Christian Athletes tonight, October 11th at 7:00pm on the football
field. Come and enjoy a night of music and fellowship. (10-11)
FFA
There will be a FFA meeting this Friday morning at 7:30am in Mrs.
Jensen's room 518E.
FFA FOOD DRIVE
The FFA Food Drive will begin on October 16th and end on the 27th.
Nonperishable items and cans will be collected in your 4th period class.
The 4th period class that collects the most cans will receive Krispy
Kreme donuts!
FCCLA
FCCLA will meet this Friday at 7:45am in 305C.
TRANSPORTATION FIELD TRIP
If you are interested in a job or degree in Transportation, please
drop by and see Mr. Senter in 519E before October 20th. Interested
students will be able to attend a field trip on October 25th for a
tour of a plant and a college presentation. Lunch will be provided.
See Mr. Senter if you are interested.
SPORTS
SWIM TEAM
Students interested in swimming this year need to come by Coach
Saddler's (308C), Coach Beuter's (202B), or Coach Vestal's (604G) to
sign up and get an information packet. Swimming starts October 30th.

SOPHOMORES
Sophomores -- considering NC School of Math and Science? If you are a
sophomore who is strong in math and science and would like to learn
more about this challenging & exciting program, plan to attend Oct
19th NCSSM Information session with Andrew Huggins from NCSSM. Sign
up in school counseling office by October 16th if you would like to
attend. See Ms Mitze or Mrs. Whitley in the Guidance Department with
questions. (10-16)
BUSH BASH
The 6th Annual Clash at the Bash is October 20th and we need you to
participate. You can help your class win by signing up for several
events. Sign-ups for Clash at the Bash VI events are now with the
teacher running the event. Teachers should have event posters posted
in their classrooms. The winning class of The Clash at the Bash will
receive FREE biscuits on October 27th.
SENIORS
Senior Portrait Picture Make-ups are Thursday, October 12th. If you
are a senior and don't know your time or location, please ask your
teacher to look on the list shared by Mr. Hutchens. This list shows
all times and locations for makeups.
COMMUNITY
Yadkinville Elementary needs help Friday afternoon, October 13th to
pack and distribute Port-a-Pit Plates for their Sound-to-Sea trip
fundraiser. Service hours will be awarded. See Mr. Hutchens in 513E
if you can volunteer. (10-11)
EARLY DISMISSAL
Today Wednesday, October 11th is an early dismissal day. All students
will be dismissed at noon.
