CHEER LEADING
Tryouts for cheer leading will continue today May 24th, and tomorrow the 25th.

TRACK
Anyone interested in running XC next year please sign up on Doby's door 607G and pick up information about the upcoming fall season!

SASI
Students that are going to SASI this summer need to see Ms. McCollum in 233B by Wednesday afternoon! 

JUNIORS
Juniors if you are interested in taking English 4 or Honors English 4 online this summer to get ahead on your credits for your senior year, please stop by the Counseling Office to receive more information. We have a limited number of spots available for these online English 4 and Honors English 4 classes, so please visit the Counseling Office by Friday for more information.

CREDIT RECOVERY
Students, if you need to attend summer school for credit recovery this summer, please visit the office and complete a registration form. Summer school for credit recovery will begin June 12th. Once again, registration forms are in the main office.

CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulations Coach Pruitt our FHS Coach of the Year!  
Coach Pruitt was nominated and then voted upon by his peers as the 2016/17 FHS Coach of the Year. Coach Pruitt is the coach for both the women's and men's golf teams.  He only had 1 female golfer this year, but she performed very well.  More recently, the men's team finished 4th in the state, which is the best finish in school history!

TRACK
Congratulations to the men's and women's track teams for their performances at the state championships last Friday. The men finished 8th as a team and the women finished 13th.
A special congratulations goes out to Zane Johnson, who is the current state champion in discus.

JROTC
Congratulations to the Forbush Falcon JROTC Raider Team placing second in the West Rowan Two-Man Raider meet on Saturday. Cadets Edwin Alvarenga and Cadet Adrian Delgado finished 2nd out of 21 teams and Cadet Cameron Sloan and Chase Rouse finished 10th. Great job!

YEARBOOKS
Extra yearbooks are on sale today for students. Cost is $70.

All of these individuals qualified for States this Friday as well as:

Congratulations to the men's golf team for their best finish in school history, 4th place out of 100 2A schools that competed this year. Seniors Logan Lineberry, Carson Snyder, and Micah Cranfill finished their 4 years with 214 team wins and only 62 losses. Congratulations on a great career.

Mrs. Saddler's Foods 2 class will be selling milkshakes all next week. You may place your order in the lobby of A building during lunch and we will deliver your shake to you during 4th period. You MUST have permission from your 4th period teacher before placing an order. Classic Shakes (vanilla, chocolate, strawberry) will be $2.00 and Specialty Shakes will be $3.00. Listen to the morning announcements daily for the reveal of the specialty shake of the day!

SPORTS
Congratulations to the Men's Golf Team for qualifying for the state finals in back-to-back seasons! This is the 6th team in school history to play for a state championship. Individually Carson Davis lead the falcons with a 78 which was good enough for third place out of 82 golfers.

Let's celebrate "We Are For Marshall" by going to the Relay For Life Beach Party tonight at Starmount High School. Events start at 6 pm and will end at midnight. Come anytime for Food, Fun, and Beach music all night.

The Forbush Band Golf Tournament will be held at the Yadkin Country Club on May 13th. Cost is $200 per team of 4 players. Lunch will begin at noon and play begins at 2:00. Registration forms are available in the office and all proceeds will support the Forbush High School and Middle School Band program.

HOSA officer applications are due to Mrs. Sloan tomorrow.

There will be a brief meeting for all HOSA students attending the field trip on May 11th at First break on Friday in Mrs. Sloan room.

Items need to be non-perishable and fit within a 4x6 baggie.  These items will be collected Thursday and Friday during lunches.  Remember you will not be guaranteed to get these items back.

Come by Jonesville Public Library or any NWRL branch and register to ride with us on Saturday, June 10th.
All riders pre-registered by May 5th will receive a free t-shirt.
