Monday Announcements

CLUBS
FFA FOOD DRIVE
The FFA Food Drive begins today October 16th and ends on the 27th. Nonperishable items and cans will be collected in your 4th period class. The 4th period class that collects the most cans will receive Krispy Kreme donuts!

JR. CIVITAN
Students and Faculty, please support the third annual Forbush Jr. Civitan Coat DriveThis Friday night at our homecoming football game, we will be collecting new and gently used coats for our local branch of the Salvation Army. We will be set up to collect donations at the main gate as you enter the game.

DECA 
ALL DECA members need to come by 303C to fill out District information by this Thursday October 19th. If you have not picked up your fundraising form you still can today!
DECA will meet this Friday Morning October 20th. Come joy us for some LIMITLESS fun!

TRANSPORTATION FIELD TRIP
If you are interested in a job or degree in Transportation, please drop by and see Mr. Senter in 519E before October 20th. Interested students will be able to attend a field trip on October 25th for a tour of a plant and a college presentation. Lunch will be provided. See Mr. Senter if you are interested.

SPORTS
WRESTLING
The wrestling team will be holding open mats tomorrow night at 7 pm.  
Anyone interested in wrestling should make plans to attend.
Official tryouts will start on Wednesday, October 25th.  
Please get your physical before this time.  See Coach Farmer for more details. (10-18)

GUIDANCE
SOPHOMORES
Sophomores -- considering NC School of Math and Science? If you are a sophomore who is strong in math and science and would like to learn more about this challenging & exciting program, plan to attend October 19th NCSSM Information session with Andrew Huggins from NCSSM.  Sign up in school counseling office today October 16th if you would like to attend.  See Ms Mitze or Mrs. Whitley in the Guidance Department with questions.  (10-16)

FALL CHORUS CONCERT
Forbush High School will host a Fall Chorus Concert on Tuesday, October 24th. 
This concert will be held at 7pm in the FHS Auditorium.

BUSH BASH
The 6th Annual Clash at the Bash is October 20th and we need you to participate. You can help your class win by signing up for several events. Sign-ups for Clash at the Bash VI events are now with the teacher running the event. Teachers should have event posters posted in their classrooms. The winning class of The Clash at the Bash will receive FREE biscuits on October 27th.

Students, want to sign out of Bush Bash on Friday? 
Just bring your signed parent note to the office Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday!
(YOUR FULL NAME SHOULD BE ON THE NOTE AND YOUR PARENTS SIGNATURE. NOTES MUST BE READABLE.)           
Gates will be locked Friday!
No note turned into the office by Thursday means no signing out Friday without a parent present. No note, no go!
