Friday Announcements

CLUBS
HOSA

All HOSA members attending district competition should turn in forms Mrs. Sloan by tomorrow. A payment of  $15 is due November 1st. If you do not have your information turned in by tomorrow you will not be able to compete.

HOSA T shirt/sweatshirt orders are on Mrs. Sloan's door. Stop by 520E to sign up. Deadline to sign up and pay for shirts is November 9th. Apparel must be paid for before it will be ordered. 

HOSA will be selling iced Starbucks coffee at Bush Bash for $3.00!


DECA

ALL DECA members - this is a reminder to bring your District registration form along with your registration fees and fundraising money to the meeting tomorrow morning in 303C. Tomorrow is the deadline to sign up and pay to go to District Competition.


JR. CIVITAN
Students and Faculty, please support the third annual Forbush Jr. Civitan Coat DriveTomorrow night at our homecoming football game, we will be collecting new and gently used coats for our local branch of the Salvation Army. We will be set up to collect donations at the main gate as you enter the game.

FFA FOOD DRIVE
The FFA Food Drive continues through next Friday the 27th. Nonperishable items and cans will be collected in your 4th period class. The 4th period class that collects the most cans will receive Krispy Kreme donuts!

TRANSPORTATION FIELD TRIP
If you are interested in a job or degree in Transportation, please drop by and see Mr. Senter in 519E before October 20th. Interested students will be able to attend a field trip on October 25th for a tour of a plant and a college presentation. Lunch will be provided. See Mr. Senter if you are interested.

SPORTS


VOLLEYBALL
Congratulations to the Forbush Volleyball Team for their second place finish in the conference tournament this week. The finals was a hard fought match that really could have gone either way.

Mackenzie Fulk and Ebony Williams also made the All Tournament team. Congratulations Girls and good luck in the state playoffs!

BASKETBALL
There will be a mandatory parent meeting on Thursday, October 28th beginning at 6:30 in the gym for all athletes who will be trying out for basketball. If you are unable to attend, please see Coach Christopherson ahead of time.

CHEERLEADING
Basketball cheer tryouts will be held on Monday, October 30th. You will need a valid physical and signed concussion form before you may participate.  Meet in the lobby of A building at 3:30 on Monday, October 30th. (10-26)

WRESTLING
Anyone planning on wrestling this year needs to meet with coach Farmer in 803J Tuesday morning at 7:45am. The meeting will not last long. Please be on time.
Official Wrestling Team tryouts will start on Wednesday, October 25thPlease get your physical before this time. 

MUSIC
FALL CHORUS CONCERT
Forbush High School will host a Fall Chorus Concert on Tuesday, October 24th. 
This concert will be held at 7pm in the FHS Auditorium. 

SENIORS
Seniors who have not been measured for your cap and gown come by Mr.
Hutchens Room, 513E by Friday, October 27th.

SPIRIT WEEK 
Tomorrow is the last day of Spirit Week! Here's what to wear!
Freshman wear RED!
Sophomores wear WHITE!
Juniors wear BLUE!
Seniors wear BLACK!

BUSH BASH
The 6th Annual Clash at the Bash is this Friday, October 20th and we need you to participate. The winning class of The Clash at the Bash will receive FREE biscuits on October 27th.

TODAY is the last day to turn in your parent note to sign out early during Bush Bash!
Bring your signed parent note to the office.  

This Saturday is the Homecoming dance! 
The dance is from 7-10pm. 
Tickets are $5 and on sale in Senora Helton's room 703H.

DMV
The Fall Session of Driver Education will start on Monday, November 6th at 3:30 in the library. You must be 14 1/2 years old before November 14th in order to take the class.
