The Yadkin County Relay for Life is tonight Friday, May 11th at the Yadkinville Community Park. There will be fun, food and beach music from 6pm until midnight. Come out to show your support for the American Cancer Society and the "Super Heroes" that are fight against cancer.

Today is the last day for sign-ups for the Falcon 5K hosted by Forbush High School JROTC on Saturday, May 12th.Cadets will be available during all or you can sign-up with MSG Hayes in room 130A. Please join us for a morning of fun.

The Yadkin County Relay for Life is Friday, May 11th at the Yadkinville Community Park. There will be fun, food and beach music from 6pm until midnight. Come out to show your support for the American Cancer Society and the "Super Heroes" that are fight against cancer.

This is the last week for sign-ups for the Falcon 5K hosted by Forbush High School JROTC on Saturday, May 12th. Cadets will be available during all lunches this week or you can sign-up with MSG Hayes in room 130A. Please join us for a morning of fun.

The AP ENGLISH LIT Exam will be giving in the morning at Mt Carmel Fellowship Hall.
Students taking this AP Exam should arrive no later than 7:30.
Students should bring two, #2 pencils and a blue or black inked pen.
Snacks will be provided.
The address for Mt Carmel Fellowship Hall is 3417 Mt Carmel Road, East Bend.
Students will return to their fourth period class when the exam is complete.

Seniors, if you do not wear your graduation clothes or bring your cap and gown tomorrow, you will not be allowed to participate in the Awards Day activities.

Please write your name in the cap and in the back neck of your gown.
Be careful not to lose your tassel or cap.  Replacement tassels are $10.00 and we have a limited number available.  Also, we have very few extra caps.

Congratulations to the men's and women's track teams for their performances at the conference track meet. The men finished second and the women finished first. There were numerous conference champions and Dakota Mendenhall was named men's player of the year.

If you are a senior qualify for a red cord at graduation by one of the following ways: three donations, eight hours of service or recruiting five first time donors please see Mrs. Sloan tomorrow Friday, April 27th so that your information can be sent to the Red Cross for your red cord.

Congratulations to Matt Wilhelm and Lance Kennedy for winning the conference doubles championship. They are back to back conference champs in doubles and will go to regionals next week.
Wilhelm and Kennedy were named All Conference
Seth Anderson was named Honorable Mention all-conference in singles
Peyton Eldridge and Jaedan Gage were named Honorable Mention all-conference in doubles.

Seniors, the deadline for the Frank Steelman Scholarship is today April 25th. If you are planning to go into a business-related field, please apply for this $1,000 scholarship. See Mrs. Monroe in the Counseling Office for an application.

RED CROSS SCHOLARSHIP 4/27
All applications for the Red Cross scholarship are due to Mrs. Sloan by Friday April 27th.

If you are a senior qualify for a red cord at graduation by one of the following ways: three donations, eight hours of service or recruiting five first time donors please see Mrs. Sloan by Friday April 27th so that your information can be sent to the Red Cross for your red cord.
If you have received your red cord already in the mail please see Mrs. Sloan so that you name can be added to the list for awards day and noted on the graduation program.

MARCH OF DIMES
This is our final week of our March of Dimes fundraiser.  Please help support this important cause.
Fact of the day: A band aid is the same size as a blood pressure cuff for a preemie.  Preterm babies weigh less and have less developed organs which need constant monitoring.

The Falcon Battalion JROTC is accepting donations to support families affected by the tornadoes that hit Greensboro last Sunday. Donated items can include toiletries, batteries, new clothing, non-perishable food, and bottled water. Please bring to room 130A if you would like to contribute.

Auditions for the Bush Band Color guard will be held on April 30th and May1st after school from 3:30-6pm. This is open to anyone and no experience is needed to join. Students with dance experience are encouraged to apply. Please see Mr. Elliott during lunch or after school if you would like more information.

BLOOD DRIVE
Thank you for your kindness and patience during Friday's blood drive. Our drive Friday was running way behind and several factors contributed to that. If you have not heard we passed our goal of 160 units collecting 169 units of blood! Those 169 units have the ability to provide lifesaving treatment for 507 patients.

BLOOD DRIVE 4/20

Our Spring Blood Drive is tomorrow April 20th in the gym.
Donors must have photo ID. Sixteen year

olds will need a consent form.
Blood Drive assignments for students working the blood drive are posted. Please wear a HOSA tee shirt, jeans or khakis, and closed toe shoes. Bring a coat it will be cool in the gym.

Any senior who has completed 200 or more Service Hours will need to submit those hours to Chris Hauser in 204B by Wednesday, April 25th.Seniors with 200 or more will be recognized at Award's Day and on their diploma.

Any senior who has enlisted in the military or will enlist before the end of school, please see Chris Hauser in 204B by Friday, April 27th.

Any senior who wishes to apply for the American Red Cross Scholarship, please see Mrs. Sloan for an application and details. All applications are due April 27th.

GUIDANCE
PLACEMENT TESTING

All students who received Placement Test invitation - TODAY is the DEADLINE to sign up for Placement Testing happening next week.  This Placement Test is needed to be eligible for College Classes.  To be on the list to test next week, you must sign up TODAY in School Counseling Office. You will then receive a Pass & Instructions about testing next week.
