Thursday Announcements

SPORTS
BASKETBALL
If you are planning on trying out for men

s basketball this year, please go by room 404D to see Coach Christopherson to pick up an open gym schedule.
WRESTLING
Anyone interested in wrestling this year needs to see Coach
Farmer in 803J to sign up.  Please come before school or at lunch.
There is an informational packet to pick up.  Our first open mat will
be next week.

Any Freshmen interested in playing baseball this year, please see
Coach Moss in room 408D.

​SOFTBALL
All softball players meet at 7:55am Friday morning in the media center.  
This is mandatory for everyone planning on trying out.

There will be a DECA interest meeting tomorrow,September 1st from 7:40-8:10 in Mrs. Funk's room 303C.
Everyone is welcome to meet new friends and hear what DECA is all about!

HOSA
There will be a HOSA meeting for students who are interested in joining HOSA on Thursday September 7th.
We will offer two meetings one before school at 7:30am and one after school. 
We will also discuss upcoming events for September.

FCS
The Fellowship of Christian Students will collect money for our neighbors in Texas and those affected by Hurricane Harvey. The first period class that collects the most money will receive a free breakfast. Collection will end Thursday, September 7th.
If FHS collects a combined total of $2,500.00 we will have an ice cream social!

September 12th is Surry Community College's "College Fair".
Permission forms deadline is September 8th.

Tomorrow, September 1st is Picture Day for all underclassmen.

Seniors should start planning
NOW for the day after graduation!
Parents are welcome & encouraged to attend.
