Wednesday Morning

HOSA
Any student interested in joining HOSA the fee is $20.00 and
membership forms are available from Mrs. Sloan room 520E. The last day
to join HOSA will be October 28th.

STUDENT LEADERSHIP TEAM
Any student interested in becoming a member of the Student Leadership
Team e-mail Coach James room 606G for an application. All
applications are due October 31st.

BETA
All newly invited members of the Beta Club are reminded their
paperwork and fees are due this Friday, 28th. There will NOT be an
extended deadline, so if you want to join Beta, be sure to turn in
your paperwork!
Also, the deadline to donate items for Hurricane Matthew has been
extended to Friday. You can earn Beta points, see the website for
details. Thanks to all who have already donated!

SENIORS
Seniors need to turn in community service hours to Ms. Elmore in 204B
by October 28th. This is necessary for certain scholarships and
awards.

SENIOR YEARBOOK ADS
If you are NOT completing your senior ad online, the money and ad
content is due to Ms. McCollum on November 1st. Please see the FHS
website for more information and forms.

SENIOR JOSTENS MEETING
The senior meeting with Jostens concerning graduation items that was
originally scheduled for October 26th has been RESCHEDULED for
November 1st at 9:45 am. Orders will be collected November 4th.

WRESTLING
Anyone planning to wrestle this year, please meet in the training room
immediately after school today for hydration testing. You will be
free to leave as soon as we are done.

BASKETBALL
There will be a mandatory parent meeting on Monday, October 31st in
the gym at 6:00 for anyone trying out for men's basketball. Tryouts
will start immediately following the meeting. Basketball tryouts will
be held next Monday through Wednesday. Anyone wanting to tryout must
have an updated physical turned into Coach Christopherson ahead of
time or you will not be allowed to participate.

GOLF
Congratulations to Mallory Fobes for finishing 4th out of 78
competitors in the State Finals for Women's Golf this past Monday and
Tuesday.

JROTC
The Forbush JROTC will sponsor ASVAB testing on the 9th of November at
8 AM in the Media Center. The test is open to all 10th through 12th
grade students interested in joining the military BUT you must sign up
with either Colonel Weatherstone or Master Sergeant Hayes in Room 130A
building.
The test is free and once complete, you will receive an ASVAB score
about three weeks after the test. This score can then be used to
discuss your options with military recruiters if you are planning on
going in the military after graduation. By taking the test you ARE
NOT obligated in any way to join the military.

REPORT CARDS TODAY
Report cards will be distributed between third and fourth periods
today. Students, please report to your homeroom class when the bell
rings ending third period.
