EVENTS
BLOOD DRIVE 4/20

Our Spring Blood Drive is tomorrow April 20th in the gym.
Donors must have photo ID. Sixteen year
​​
olds will need a consent form.
Blood Drive assignments for students working the blood drive are posted. Please wear a HOSA tee shirt, jeans or khakis, and closed toe shoes. Bring a coat it will be cool in the gym.

SPRING MUSICAL 4/20-21
The Spring Musical ("Into the Woods Jr."), performances are tomorrow and Saturday at 7pm in the FHS auditorium.

WILKES COMMUNITY COLLEGE 4/23
Scott Johnson from Wilkes Community College will be set up in A building lobby during all lunches April 23rd to talk with seniors who have applied to Wilkes or other students who are considering Wilkes Community College.  If you are interested in learning more about WCC, please make sure to stop by to talk to Mr. Johnson.

SPRING PICTURES 4/25
Spring photos are April 25th in the auditorium.
Stop by the office to pick up an order form.
A completed order form is required to have your picture taken.

MARCH OF DIMES 4/27
Our March of Dimes fundraiser is now underway through April 27th.
March of Dimes fact: Breathing through a straw is exactly what it feels like for a preemie with underdeveloped lungs.

COLLEGE GEAR DAY 4/27
Celebrate your academic accomplishments and college acceptance with College Gear Day on April 27th!
If you will be attending any post-secondary school next fall, wear your future school gear and have your college signing day captured in pictures here at Forbush High School.
This event includes enlisting with our nation's armed forces!
Let us document your enlistment and service to our nation.
The deadline to sign up is April 25th.
Sign up in the guidance office with Ms. Monroe to select a time.

RELAY FOR LIFE 5/11
The Yadkin County Relay for Life Event is Friday, May 11th at Yadkinville Town Park from 6pm to midnight.
Want to join the team for volunteer hours see Mrs .Vogler in 809 J.

FREE Summer Camp
If any freshman, sophomore, or junior interested in participating in Camp Med, a three day FREE summer medical camp at Surry Community College in June, pick up an application packet from Mrs. Sloan 520E or the Guidance Office this week. Applications are due Wednesday, April 25th.

CLUBS
DECA

If you missed out on pre-ordering your FRESH Krispy Kreme doughnuts today, call room 303C to order NOW before it's too late. All orders must be in before the end of school TODAY.
Doughnuts will be delivered to you at the end of 4th on Friday afternoon OR you can pick up immediately after school in room 303C.
DON'T MISS OUT!

JROTC
The Falcon Battalion JROTC is accepting donations to support families affected by the tornadoes that hit Greensboro last Sunday. Donated items can include toiletries, batteries, new clothing, non-perishable food, and bottled water. Please bring to room 130A if you would like to contribute.

BAND
Anyone not currently in Spring band that would like to participate in marching band next Fall needs to see Mr. Elliott during lunch or after school by Friday for information.
Auditions for the Bush Band Color guard will be held on April 30th and May1st after school from 3:30-6pm. This is open to anyone and no experience is needed to join. Students with dance experience are encouraged to apply. Please see Mr. Elliott during lunch or after school if you would like more information.

TRIVIA CLUB
Upon further review yesterday's trivia contest was actually a tie between the Huggins Team and the Men in Black of the history department, due to a question which had more than one correct answer.  Congratulations to both teams on their win!

CLASS OFFICERS 2018/2019
There will be a meeting for anyone interested in running for class office in 2018/2019 Friday morning, April 20th at 7:40 in Señora Helton's room 703H. This is for any freshmen, sophomores or juniors.

SPORTS
WRESTLING

Wrestling will have open mats tonight from 6:00-7:30 pm.  Let Coach Farmer know if you plan to attend.

SENIORS
Seniors, the deadline for the Frank Steelman Scholarship has been extended. If you are planning to go into a business-related field, please apply for this $1,000 scholarship. See Mrs. Monroe in the Counseling Office for an application.

Any senior who has completed 200 or more Service Hours will need to submit those hours to Chris Hauser in 204B by Wednesday, April 25th.Seniors with 200 or more will be recognized at Award's Day and on their diploma.

Any senior who has enlisted in the military or will enlist before the end of school, please see Chris Hauser in 204B by Friday, April 27th.

Any senior who wishes to apply for the American Red Cross Scholarship, please see Mrs. Sloan for an application and details. All applications are due April 27th.

GUIDANCE
PLACEMENT TESTING

All students who received Placement Test invitation - TODAY is the DEADLINE to sign up for Placement Testing happening next week.  This Placement Test is needed to be eligible for College Classes.  To be on the list to test next week, you must sign up TODAY in School Counseling Office. You will then receive a Pass & Instructions about testing next week.
