Teachers of juniors please pass out ballots for class president, then return them to Senora Helton or put them in her mailbox.

CLUBS
BASS FISHING CLUB 5/11

If you are interested in joining the Forbush Bass Fishing club, there will be an interest meeting right after school on Friday, May 11th in the first cafeteria. You must have a parent present at this meeting.

DECA
If any DECA member is planning to attend the DECA end of year celebration this Friday night and you have not sent your RSVP already, PLEASE go by 303C to let Mrs. Funk know.
Come by the DECA store tomorrow morning in the lobby of C building.....LAST DAY....come check out the sales! Remaining stock...BUY one get one half off!

EVENTS
FFA Plant Sale

Our Forbush FFA is now celebrating Mother's Day with a Half-Price Sale! Choose from hanging baskets, vegetable plants, and bedding plants. If you have questions or would like more information, contact Mr. Elliott 518E.

JUNIOR COLLEGE NIGHT 5/10
Class of 2019, our Junior Parent Night is tonight Thursday, May 10th, at 6:00pm in the auditorium. It is time to start planning for college! Learn and review questions about the college process, ACT & SAT college testing, tools to find college money, applying for financial aid, what to put on your resume, recommendations, and more! See Ms. Mitze if you have any questions.

RELAY FOR LIFE 5/11
The Yadkin County Relay for Life is Friday, May 11th at the Yadkinville Community Park. There will be fun, food and beach music from 6pm until midnight. Come out to show your support for the American Cancer Society and the "Super Heroes" that are fight against cancer.

JROTC 5K 5/12
Tomorrow is the last day for sign-ups for the Falcon 5K hosted by Forbush High School JROTC on Saturday, May 12th.Cadets will be available during all or you can sign-up with MSG Hayes in room 130A. Please join us for a morning of fun.

SURRY CLASSES 5/15
Students interested in Surry classes, Mrs. Pennix's last day at FHS for this school year is May 15th. After May 15th and during the summer, students may still arrange to meet with Mrs. Pennix, but will need to meet with her in Yadkinville or Dobson during her summer office hours.  If you need Mrs. Pennix's contact information, please see Mrs. Monroe or Ms Mitze.

JUNIORS 5/16
Juniors, if you are interested in serving as the Student Representative for the Yadkin County Board of Education next year, please submit a 1-to-2 page essay detailing why you believe you are the best person to serve in this role. Please turn in this essay and an updated resume to the main office by Wednesday, May 16th.

3rd ANNUAL AUTOMOTIVE PIG PICKIN AND CAR SHOW 5/26
Our 3rd Annual Automotive Pig Pickin & Car Show will be held on May 26th from 11-2pm, behind E Building Automotive Shop.
$8.00 per plate includes BBQ, Roll, Beans, Slaw, and Dessert, - Dine in or Carry Out.
No entry fee to enter car show. All Cars, Trucks, Tractors, Lawnmowers, Motorcycles are welcome. Trophies and Prizes will be awarded!

SPORTS
SOCCER 5/10

There will be a Soccer Parent Meeting tonight at 7pm in Coach Davis's Room 516E.
TRACK 5/11
Track Runners: Please remember to RSVP for the banquet by May 11th. The banquet is May 22nd.

WOMEN'S TENNIS 5/12
Women's Tennis Open Courts will be held Saturday from 9am-10:30am. Sign-Up on Coach Vestal's door 604G if you are interested.  Check the team Remind Saturday morning in case of weather cancellation.

CHEERLEADING 5/14
Open gym for all cheer leaders that plan to tryout will be at the Extreme Gym in Yadkinville on May 14th and 15th from 4:15 to 6:00. Tryouts will be held on May 17th from 4:15 to 6:00.

CREDIT RECOVERY
Students, if you are interested in summer school opportunities through the Yadkin Virtual Academy or for Credit Recovery, please pick up an application in the front office. We have a limited number of spots, so please complete an application and return it to the office as soon as possible.

AP EXAMS
The AP HISTORY Exam will be giving in the morning at Mt Carmel Fellowship Hall.
Students taking this AP Exam should arrive no later than 7:30.
Students should bring two, #2 pencils and a blue or black inked pen.
Snacks will be provided.
The address for Mt Carmel Fellowship Hall is 3417 Mt Carmel Road, East Bend.
Students will return to their fourth period class when the exam is complete.

FINAL EXAMS
As a reminder, final exams are scheduled to begin on Friday, May 18th. The last day of final exams will be Thursday, May 24th. For detailed information about the exam schedule, visit our website and scroll to the bottom under "Latest News."
