Wednesday Announcements

PSAT
Sign-ups for PSAT will run through October 7th, the cost is $15.
Please see Mrs. Monroe in guidance to sign up.
LIMITED NUMBER OF SPOTS available.
The PSAT will take place on October 19th during school.

JR. CIVITAN
There will be a Junior Civitan meeting this Thursday, September 29th at 7:35 am in 604G. We will be discussing several major volunteer opportunities. All members please plan to attend.

BETA
All Beta Club members are reminded they must turn in their Beta Club Agreement by Monday October 3rd in order to remain in Beta Club.  You can get a form from Mrs. Rachel Davis or print them off the Beta website.

DECA
DECA Lunch Meetings begin today!  During your regular lunch time, pick up your lunch and come to Mrs. Pardue's room to eat and meet!
You may also pick up your DECA Pink T-Shirt (for breast cancer awareness) during your lunch.  Be sure to bring $10 if you have not paid already.

HOMECOMING
TIckets for the Homecoming dance can be purchased in room 703H (from SeƱora Helton) thru next Wednesday, October 5th.  If you don't have a ticket, you don't get to come!

YEARBOOKS
Yearbooks are on sale in the lobby of A building during lunches this week. 
Yearbooks are $50 for this week only. After this week the price of the yearbook goes up.

SENIORS
Mark Your Calendars for our Financial Aid Workshop is October 4th at
6pm in Auditorium. Learn how to apply for college money.
If you are planning to attend college next year and need money to help
pay for college, then you need to attend this workshop.
Learn how to apply for Financial Aid and Scholarships.
Parents and students are encourage to attend together

​SENIORS
FYI Seniors...You will be asked to have a cap and gown photo taken in November. 
This cap and gown photo will be used as your senior photo in the yearbook. 

BAND
Band is having their annual mattress sale November 5th in the lobby of A building from 10-5. This money helps to replace instruments, music stands and several other items in the classrooms. All YCS employees receive discounts on these name brand mattress, in addition to the 60% reduction in the normal pricing. Please feel free to contact Mr. Brusseau with any questions that you may have.

FALL BLOOD DRIVE
Our Fall Blood Drive will be Friday, September 30th. Students 16 years of age will need a parental consent to donate. All donors will need a photo ID. 
Everyone please wear your Marshall Baker t-shirts this Friday!

​LOST AND FOUND
Students please check the Lost and Found Shelf in Cafeteria 1. 
There are several pairs of prescription glasses​, shoes and book bags.
Please see Mrs. Gentry in the office if you have lost a cell phone.
