Thursday Announcements

CLUBS
HOSA
Our Fall Blood Drive will be Friday, September 29th. 
Students will be available during some lunches for you to sign up to donate or see Mrs. Sloan in room 520E. 
Donors who are 16 years old will need parental consent. 
All donors will need a photo ID.

DECA
There will be a DECA meeting Friday morning at 7:40 in 303C. All members should plan to attend. If you have not turned in your registration paperwork or fees, please bring those to the meeting.
ITS NOT TOO LATE to join!  If you did not make the first interest meeting come to our meeting this Friday! Lots of fun opportunities in DECA! 

FFA
There will be a FFA meeting Friday morning at 7:40 in Mrs. Jensen's room. We will be discussing upcoming events - fundraisers, Regional Leadership Conference & other opportunities for you to get involved as the school year rolls on.

GUIDANCE
SOPHOMORES AND JUNIORS
PSAT sign-ups will end on Friday, 
September 22nd. 
Sign up between 
8:30

and 1:30 in the Guidance Department
.
A limited number of spots are available. 
The PSAT will be given on Saturday, October 14th at 8am. 

COLLEGE OPEN HOUSES AND CAMPUS TOURS

The Surry College Fair scheduled for September 12th is cancelled and will not be rescheduled. All students and parents can still investigate college options and plan a campus visit. To learn about open house dates, how to plan a college visit, or how to schedule a campus tour, go to individual college websites and look under "Admission".  If you need assistance finding open houses & tour information for a specific college of interest, please see Ms. Mitze in Guidance.


SPORTS
WRESTLING
The wrestling team will hold open mats tonight at 7 pm in the field house.

FRIENDLY REMINDERS

NO STUDENT SHOULD BE DROPPED OFF AT THE ROUND ABOUT, BEHIND OR BESIDE THE SCHOOL. Students are to be dropped off in front of the school at either sidewalk only.


Also, students please use the DESIGNATED CROSS WALKS when walking from the parking lots to campus. PLEASE PUT YOUR CELL PHONES DOWN AND WATCH FOR TRAFFIC AS YOU ENTER THE DESIGNATED CROSS WALKS. Be safe!  


Yesterday, trash was left in the court yard. This is a reminder that if this continues students will loose outside eating privileges and students will be required to eat in the cafeterias. If you see trash on our campus, please pick it up and throw it away!
