Monday Announcments

CLUBS
HOSA
All HOSA members attending the disaster training on on Thursday should have their permission form turned into Mrs Sloan by tomorrowTuesday afternoon. If you do not have your form turned in by tomorrow afternoon you will not be able to participate.
Please wear old clothes. We will meet in Mrs Sloan's room 520E after first period. Lunch is included.

JOURNALISM CLUB
Anyone interested in joining the FHS Journalism Club, please attend an informational meeting Wednesday morning, September 20th at 7:45am in Ms. McCollum's room 233B.

STUDENT COUNCIL
The Student Leadership Team is now Student Council! 
Our first meeting will be Thursday 7:40-8:10 in 606G. 
If you're interested in being a member of the Student Council, e-mail Coach James for an application and attend Thursday mornings meeting.

FFA
FFA is selling cookie dough. One tub makes 40 cookies and costs $20.00. See an FFA member or Mrs. Jensen for more details.
Sarah Hutchens participated in the NC State FFA Dairy Handlers Career Development Event at the Mountain State Fair. She made in into the grand drive and was in the top six in the state. Sarah had zero experience before preparing for this event. Congratulations to Sarah!

FCCLA
There will be a FCCLA meeting this Friday morning at 7:45  in Mrs. Saddler's room 518E. Please bring your $20 dues along with your Butter Braid forms. We will be planning our first service project of the year so please plan to attend.

SPORTS
BASKETBALL
The men's basketball program will have open gym today at 4:00.

GUIDANCE
SOPHOMORES AND JUNIORS
PSAT sign-ups will end this Friday, 
September 22nd. 
Sign ups will continue between 
8:30

and 1:30 in the Guidance Department.
A limited number of spots are available. 
The PSAT will be given on Saturday, October 14th at 8am. 

COMMUNITY
FALL BLOOD DRIVE
Our Fall Blood Drive will be this Friday, September 29th. 
Students will be available during some lunches for you to sign up to donate or see Mrs. Sloan in room 520E. 
Donors who are 16 years old will need parental consent. 
All donors will need a photo ID.
