CLUBS
JR. CIVITAN
Any Jr. Civitan members planning to attend Special Olympics this Friday, turn in your permission forms to Coach Vestal by this Wednesday, February 14th.

MUSIC
CHORUS
Our Spring Chorus Concert is scheduled for Thursday, February 22nd beginning at 7:00pm in the Forbush Auditorium.

SPORTS
SWIM TEAM
Congratulations to the women's swim team for their accomplishments at the State Finals last Friday.
The relays consisting of Suzie Beamguard, Lauren Holowiti, Gina Myers, and Emily Post finished 22nd and 20th, respectively.
Gina Myers also finished 18th in the 200 Free and 14th in the 500 Free.
All swimmers had personal bests on the season and all moved up from their seeded ranks going into the finals.

INDOOR TRACK STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS
Congratulations to our Indoor Track athletes for their performances at last Friday's 1A/2A State Championships. Dakota Mendenhall brought home a state title in the 1,600, while Anna-Kathryn Kilby won a state title in the 3,200. Mallory Martin finished 7th in the 55-meter hurdles, while Monserat Andrade finished 10th. Madisun Shore finished 5th in the 1,000-meters, while Mackenzie Fulk finished 13th in the long jump and 6th in the triple jump.

WRESTLING
Congratulations to Eli Thomas who qualified for the state wrestling tournament this past weekend by finishing 4th at Regionals. Coming up one match short was Hayden Price and Jovany Pozo.  Worth Martin, Armando Velasquez, and Chase Farmer competed as well.

FOOTBALL
All returning football players and those interested in playing next year need to meet in Coach Sikes room 605G Tuesday before school at 7:45.

SOCCER
Soccer tryouts begin Wednesday, February 14th at 7:00am in the gym for varsity and 3:45 on the soccer field for JV.
Girls interested in playing JV soccer see Coach James in 606G if you have any questions. You must have a valid physical to tryout.

MENS TENNIS
All men's tennis players need to see Coach Tuck today for some important information.

WOMEN'S TENNIS
Any lady interested in playing women's tennis this fall, please come to an important meeting THIS THURSDAY, February 15th at 7:50am in 604G.

SOFTBALL
Softball tryouts will begin Wednesday on the field from 3:30-6.  If you have not played another sport this school year you need to see Coach Helton for a concussion form which is required for participating in tryouts.

CHEER
The Forbush Cheerleading squad will host a Cheer Showcase on Saturday, February 17
​th​
. This event will be held in the Forbush gym from 9am to noon. Congratulations and best of luck to our cheerleaders for qualifying for Nationals in March.

HUNTER SAFTEY
The Forbush Hunter Safety team will hold a scrimmage on Saturday, February 17th. This scrimmage will begin at 8am on the range for anyone who would like to attend.

GUIDANCE
ACT
​PREP FOR JUNIORS   ​

Juniors, be sure to check your email for information about test prep materials for the ACT. Several websites have been shared with you that can help you raise your ACT score, which all juniors will take on February 27.

In preparation for the ACT, juniors are invited to sign up for a free, one-day ACT Boot Camp here at Forbush on Tuesday, February 20. This session will be led by a professional test prep trainer from MasteryPrep. Lunch and snacks will be provided, but we have a limited number of spots, so sign up this week in the office before it is too late!

REMINDER
Need a cup of coffee or hot chocolate to start your day? Stop by Cafeteria One in the mornings to purchase coffee or hot chocolate from 7:30-8:00. Cost is $1.00 per cup.

Students please enjoy your breakfast and or lunch in the cafeterias or court yard. Please throw away your trash and "Thank You" for helping to keep our campus clean.
