Wednesday Announcements

CLUBS
HOSA
Anyone interested in running for a HOSA office for the 2017-2018 school year should pick up an application form Mrs. Sloan. Applications will be due to Mrs. Sloan on Friday May 5th. If you have questions please see Mrs. Sloan in room 520E. Officer elections and interviews will be held May 15th-May 19th.

FFA
2017-2018 Officer interviews are this Friday, April 28th at 3:30 in the Conference Room of A Building. Applications are posted outside Mrs. Jensen's room 518E on the bulletin board.
Also, Greenhand & Chapter Degree applications are on the bulletin board. Greenhand degrees are for first year FFA members & Chapter degrees are for returning members.
FFA Camp deposits are due next Monday, May 1st. The price of a deposit is $115. See Mrs. Jensen if you have questions.

SERVICE HOURS
Community Service Hours should be turned in to Ms. Elmore in 204B by May 1st. Seniors need 200 hours to be recognized at Awards Day.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Christian Ministries in Yadkinville is in need of volunteers during the summer months.
It is a wonderful opportunity to get your volunteer hours in.
The hours are Monday afternoon from 3:30 to 7:30 and Tuesday-Friday 9 to 12.  
See Mrs. Monroe in guidance for more details.

SPORTS
Congratulations to Logan Lineberry for winning the conference tournament yesterday with a 75 at Cedarbrook Country Club. Logan was Joined by teammate Micah Cranfill on the ALL TOURNAMENT TEAM.

Deserving recognition for All- Conference honors includes Carson Davis who finished 6th in the final conference standings, Micah Cranfill finished 3rd, and Logan Lineberry who  finished second out of 40 conference golfers. Also congratulations to Sinjun Southard for receiving honorable mention all-conference.

EVENTS
BLOOD DRIVE-FRIDAY APRIL 28TH
Anyone who would like to sign up for the Spring Blood Drive this Friday April 28th should see Mrs. Sloan or sign up during lunches by today, April 26th.
Any HOSA member that can work during third period please see Mrs. Sloan by Wednesday. Additional workers are needed. Job assignments for workers are posted on Mrs. Sloan's door.
All workers for the blood drive should wear the following clothing attire: khaki pants or jeans with no holes, close toe shoes, a HOSA, Red Cross of Forbush T shirt. If you show up dressed inappropriately you will not be allowed to help. Bring a coat it will be cool in the gym.
All Donors must have a photo ID. If you are 16 you will need to return your parental consent form. You may turn that into Mrs. Sloan prior to the blood drive or you may turn it in the day of the blood drive. You will not be allowed to donate without your consent form.
On Friday April 28th to decrease your wait time you may complete a "Rapid Pass" on the red cross website. This will save 15-20 minutes. Go to the Red Cross web site to complete the rapid pass.  You may send the pass to an email or print and bring with you. All adults donating are encouraged to do so.

SPRING MUSICAL-MAY 12TH & 13TH
Tickets for Forbush High School's Production of Seussical Jr. are now on sale! Seussical is a musical about Dr. Seuss' most beloved characters!
Performances will be Friday, May 12th & Saturday, May 13th at 7:00pm.
Tickets are $10.
Purchase your ticket from any cast member or Mrs.Campbell in room 704H.

GOLF TOURNAMENT-MAY 13TH
The Forbush Band Golf Tournament will be held at the Yadkin Country Club on May 13th. Cost is $200 per team of 4 players. Lunch will begin at noon and play begins at 2:00. Registration forms are available in the office and all proceeds will support the Forbush High School and Middle School Band program.

REMINDER
Students, this is a reminder that you will NOT BE ALLOWED to charge for breakfast or lunch in the cafeteria beginning Monday, May 1st. All cafeteria debt MUST BE PAID by the end of the school year and charges will no longer be allowed starting Monday, May 1st.
