Monday Announcements

NHS/BETA CLUB
All new Beta inductees are reminded they must RSVP for the ceremony to Mrs. Rachel Davis in 407D by Wednesday. The National Honor Society and Beta Club ceremony will be Monday November 21st. National Honor Society induction will begin at 6:30
​ ​
pm in the auditorium, a reception for everyone will be at 7 pm in the media center and the Beta Ceremony for new inductees will begin at 8 pm.

HOSA
All students assisting with vision screening tomorrow should report to Fall creek Elementary School at 0745. After Fall Creek we will travel to East Bend Elementary. Please see Mrs. Sloan for questions.

DECA
All DECA members attending District Competition must turn their permission forms in to Mrs. Pardue immediately.  Members should also see Mrs. Pardue today to sign up for your test date this week.

GUIDANCE
College Application Day is November 17th.

SURRY CLASSES
If you are interested in taking Surry Community College spring classes 2nd semester, please see Ms. Pennix in Building G-600 on Tuesdays from 9 am – 2 pm. Most classes fill quickly so do not hesitate.

BASKETBALL
Men's basketball game tonight, 7:00 at FHS. Come out and get a look at this year's Falcons.

The FHS Choral and Theater Departments present "Fools Fall in Love," a

Renaissance Dinner Theater Production featuring a catered meal as well as theatrical performances and Holiday music from some of Forbush High School's most talented students!
This event will take place on December 9
​th​
and 10
​th​
at the Yadkinville United Methodist Church Family Life Center beginning at 6:00
​ ​
pm. Admission is $20, so contact Laurie Roberts (laurie.trivette@yadkin.k12.nc.us) or Jamie Campbell (jamie.campbell@yadkin.k12.nc.us) to reserve your ticket today!

​ANGEL TREE
Our FHS Angel Tree is up in the office! Select your paper ornament, shop and return the unwrapped gift to Mrs. Gentry in the office! All gifts are due by December 6th. 

COAT DRIVE
Students and Faculty...do you have an extra coat lying around the house that you no longer use? Consider donating it to the 2nd Annual Forbush Junior Civitan Coat Drive! We will accept any new or gently used jackets including fleeces and hoodies. Through a partnership with the Salvation Army, all of these coats and jackets will stay local to
help those in need in our own community. We will be collecting at the home basketball games vs. Starmount on December 6th. Bring a coat and help those in need in our community.

​DAILY UPDATE
During breakfast and lunch food should either be eaten in the cafeterias outside. There should be no food in the lobby of A building.
As a reminder- make sure you are throwing away your trash in the appropriate containers or you will loose your right to eat outdoors.
