JUNIORS CLASS OF 2018
All Juniors received "End Of Year Letter" last week. Please take this
letter home to your parents. Copies are available in School Counselor
office, if needed.
"Count Down to Senior Year" Info Session Monday, May 22nd, 6:00 pm in
Auditorium.
Important info to the Class of 2018 to get a jump start on college
planning. Learn about task to do immediately (in June, July, August)
and tasks to do early in Fall to help plan for college, scholarships,
financial aid, etc. Hope to see our
Class of 2018 students & parents on May 22nd to learn more.
Class 2018 Survey: Complete online by May 31st.

Juniors, if you are interested in serving as the Student
Representative for the Yadkin County Board of Education next year,
please submit a 1-to-2 page essay detailing why you believe you are
the best person to serve in this role. Please turn in this essay and
an updated resume to the main office by the end of this week.
TRACK
Congratulations to the men's and women's track teams for their
performance at the regional meet last weekend. The men's team finished
4th and the women's team finished 3rd.
Regional Champions were:
AK Kilby: 3200
Women's 4x800: (Caroline Owens, AK Kilby, Sarah Hayden, Madisun Shore)
Dakota Mendenhall: 800, 1600
Zane Johnson: Discus
All of these individuals qualified for States this Friday as well as:
Monserrat Andrade and Mallory Martin: 100 Hurdles
Madisun Shore: 800
Mackenzie Fulk: Triple Jump
Zane Johnson: Shot Put
Please wish these individuals good luck for the State meet on Friday!
BUSH BAND CONCERT-MAY 16TH
The Forbush Middle School & High School Band will perform their end of
year concert tonight, May 16th. This concert will begin at 7pm in the
FHS gym. Please come out and support our band!
YEARBOOKS
Yearbook Dedication is this Thursday at 10:45.
Yearbook distribution will begin this Thursday during all lunches in room 233B.
Also Friday before school, during lunches and during fourth period in room 233B.
Students who need to pay their remaining balance on a yearbook should
do so any time this week during their lunch, stop by room 233B.
Extra yearbooks will go on sale MONDAY 22nd. Cost will be $70.
AWARDS DAY
Awards Day is this Friday at 1:00.
All seniors should attend.
Graduation attire is expected.
Cap and Gown is required.
All seniors should be dressed and on campus by 12:15.
