EVENTS
BLOOD DRIVE 4/20

Our Spring Blood Drive is this Friday, April 20th in the gym.
Sign up during lunches appointments to donate or you may see Mrs. Sloan in 520E.
Donors must have photo ID. Sixteen year olds will need a consent form. We need 120 more donors!
Blood Drive assignments for students working the blood drive are posted. As a reminder you should wear a HOSA tee shirt, jeans or khakis, and closed toe shoes. Bring a coat as it will be cool in the gym that day.

SPRING MUSICAL 4/20-21
Tickets for the Spring Musical ("Into the Woods Jr.") are on sale.
See a cast or crew member or Mrs. Campbell for tickets.
Performances are this Friday and Saturday at 7pm in the FHS auditorium.

WILKES COMMUNITY COLLEGE 4/23
Scott Johnson from Wilkes Community College will be set up in A building lobby during all lunches April 23rd to talk with seniors who have applied to Wilkes or other students who are considering Wilkes Community College.  If you are interested in learning more about WCC, please make sure to stop by to talk to Mr. Johnson.

SPRING PICTURES 4/25
Spring photos are April 25th in the auditorium.
Stop by the office to pick up an order form.
A completed order form is required to have your picture taken.

MARCH OF DIMES 4/27  

Our second March of Dimes fundraiser is now underway through April 27th.
Today's March of Dimes fact: Premature babies often undergo blood transfusions during their early days of life.  The blood required for that transfusion can barely fill a teaspoon.

COLLEGE GEAR DAY 4/27
Celebrate your academic accomplishments and college acceptance with College Gear Day on April 27th!
If you will be attending any post-secondary school next fall, wear your future school gear and have your college signing day captured in pictures here at Forbush High School.
This event includes enlisting with our nation's armed forces!
Let us document your enlistment and service to our nation.
The deadline to sign up is April 25th.
Sign up in the guidance office with Ms. Monroe to select a time.
See Mr. Sorrell if you have any questions.

RELAY FOR LIFE 5/11
The Yadkin County Relay for Life Event is Friday, May 11th at Yadkinville Town Park from 6pm to midnight.
Support the Forbush Falcon Team by purchasing a footprint for $1 in memory or honor of your superhero or order a t-shirt starting at $15 during lunch in the lobby of A building.
Want to join the team for volunteer hours, sign up in the lobby or see Mrs. Vogler in 809 J.
Who is your "SuperHero" that has dealt with cancer? Cancer can affect anyone at any age. "We Are for Marshall" continues to be our theme because Marshall was a superhero to fight the good fight!

FREE Summer Camp
If any freshman, sophomore, or junior interested in participating in Camp Med, a three day FREE summer medical camp at Surry Community College in June, pick up an application packet from Mrs. Sloan 520E or the Guidance Office this week. Applications are due Wednesday, April 25th.

CLUBS
DECA
DECA is pre-selling Krispy Kreme doughnuts to be delivered directly to you on Friday afternoon during fourth period or picked up in room 303C immediately after school.
DECA members will be pre-selling today and Thursday.

TRIVIA CLUB
Winning by one answer, Team Huggins pulled out a trivia victory this morning.  If you enjoy trivia, bring a team next week and join us at 7:45 on Wednesday in the library.

JROTC
The Falcon Battalion JROTC is accepting donations to support families affected by the tornadoes that hit Greensboro last Sunday. Donated items can include toiletries, batteries, new clothing, non-perishable food, and bottled water. Please bring to room 130A if you would like to contribute.

SENIORS
Seniors, the deadline for the Frank Steelman Scholarship has been extended. If you are planning to go into a business-related field, please apply for this $1,000 scholarship. See Mrs. Monroe in the Counseling Office for an application.

SENIORS
Any senior who has completed 200 or more Service Hours will need to submit those hours to Chris Hauser in 204B by Wednesday, April 25th.Seniors with 200 or more will be recognized at Award's Day and on their diploma.

Any senior who has enlisted in the military or will enlist before the end of school, please see Chris Hauser in 204B by Friday, April 27th.

Any senior who wishes to apply for the American Red Cross Scholarship, please see Mrs. Sloan for an application and details. All applications are due April 27th.

Seniors turn in all copies of college acceptance letters and college financial award letters to the counseling office by today, April 17th. See Mrs. Monroe in the guidance office if you have any questions.

Seniors your Exit Survey is due today, Monday, April 16th. This survey can be found in your student email.

Mrs. Saddler's Foods Two Class will be selling "Prom Themed" cupcakes tomorrow during 4th period for $1.00.  

MARCH OF DIMES
Our second March of Dimes fundraiser begins Monday. We will be collecting money from April 16th-27th. The second period class that raises the most money will win a treat!  Thank you for supporting the March of Dimes.

SCHOLARSHIP
Applications for the American Red Cross Scholarship are available form Mrs Sloan. Applications are due April 27th. You must be a senior, HOSA member and have helped with blood drives to apply.  

GUIDANCE
Seniors, be sure to complete your Senior Exit Survey by April 16th. This survey can be found in your student email. 
Turn in all copies of college acceptance letters and college financial award letters to the counseling office by April 16th to Mrs. Monroe.

SURRY
Students who have completed Surry's Career & College Promise Application received a note in 1st period on April 13th stating whether they are approved to take Surry courses or if they need to take Placement Test.  
Students need to read these notices carefully and follow all directions..
Students who must take Placement Test: sign up in School Counseling office by April 10th deadline.  

SPORTS
WOMEN'S TENNIS
Women's Tennis Open Courts will be held early Saturday morning from 9 to 10:30 due to Prom. Sign-Up on Coach Vestal's door 604G if you are interested. *Check the team Remind Saturday morning in case of weather cancellation.*

UPCOMING EVENTS
ACC Barnstorming Game
The ACC Barnstorming Game is TONIGHT. We will be selling concessions, including candy, popcorn, drinks, Dominos pizza, Bojangles sandwiches, and Arby's sandwiches. The game begins at 7:30 and gates open at 6:00.

MUSICAL
Tickets for our Spring Musical ("Into The Woods Jr.") are now on sale. See a cast or crew member or Mrs. Campbell for tickets. Performances are April 20th & 21st at 7pm in the FHS auditorium. 

2018 PROM
Prom is this Saturday, April 14thth at Bermuda Run from 7:00-11:00pm.
