Tuesday Announcements

CLUBS
FFA FOOD DRIVE
The FFA Food Drive continues through next Friday the 27th. Nonperishable items and cans will be collected in your 4th period class. The 4th period class that collects the most cans will receive Krispy Kreme donuts!

JR. CIVITAN
Students and Faculty, please support the third annual Forbush Jr. Civitan Coat DriveThis Friday night at our homecoming football game, we will be collecting new and gently used coats for our local branch of the Salvation Army. We will be set up to collect donations at the main gate as you enter the game.

DECA 
DECA will meet Friday morning October 20th at 7:40 in room 303C. Come joy us for some LIMITLESS fun!

TRANSPORTATION FIELD TRIP
If you are interested in a job or degree in Transportation, please drop by and see Mr. Senter in 519E before October 20th. Interested students will be able to attend a field trip on October 25th for a tour of a plant and a college presentation. Lunch will be provided. See Mr. Senter if you are interested.

SPORTS
BASKETBALL
The men's basketball program will have open gym today at 7:00.

CHEERLEADING
Basketball cheer tryouts will be held on Monday, October 30th. You will need a valid physical and signed concussion form before you may participate.  Meet in the lobby of A building at 3:30 on Monday, October 30th. (10-26)

WRESTLING
The wrestling team will be holding open mats tonight at 7 pm.  
Anyone interested in wrestling should make plans to attend.
Official tryouts will start on Wednesday, October 25th.

MUSIC
FALL CHORUS CONCERT
Forbush High School will host a Fall Chorus Concert on Tuesday, October 24th. 
This concert will be held at 7pm in the FHS Auditorium.

The 6th Annual Clash at the Bash is this Friday, October 20th and we need you to participate. The winning class of The Clash at the Bash will receive FREE biscuits on October 27th.

Only 2 days left to turn in your parent notes to sign out this Friday at Bush Bash!
Bring your signed parent note to the office today, Wednesday or Thursday.
Gates will be locked Friday!
No note turned into the office by Thursday means no signing out Friday without a parent present. No note, no go! 

This Saturday is the Homecoming dance! 
The dance is from 7-10pm. 
Tickets are $5 and on sale in Senora Helton's room 703H.

Student Reminder
PSAT is tomorrow October 14th.
If you have signed up to take the PSAT please report to the media center no later than 7:45 am. You may bring pencils and a calculator. Cell phones are not allowed in the testing session. The test should be complete by 11:15 am.

STUDENT SURVEYS
Students and teachers, this is one final reminder about the surveys that you were given earlier this week.

Students, if your parents have completed and signed this survey already, please turn it in to your second period teacher now. If you need another copy of the survey, please ask your second period teacher.

Students please take this survey home and give it to your parents this evening. Ask your parents to complete this survey, sign it, and give it back to you so that you can give it to your second period teacher tomorrow.

This survey is part of a grant program that will help not only Forbush High School, but the entire Forbush and East Bend area.

money for breakfast.
